City Arts is proud to present the Scottish film, “Seachd” as part of Blas Film Club on Tuesday, 19th April at 7:30pm.

When a young man, Angus, visits his dying Grandfather in hospital he cannot hold back his boyhood quest for the truth - the truth behind the death of his parents and the truth behind his Grandfather’s ancient, incredible, fearful stories. His Grandfather hijacks Angus’ life for one last time leading him to one of Scotland’s most treacherous mountains, The Inaccessible Pinnacle, and an ancient truth he never expected to find.

Fáilte - Welcome

A common word between all the Celtic languages, Blas is the perfect word as title of the film club at City Arts. Presented in both Irish and English, the aim of Blas is to give a platform - or screen - to films not normally screened in the Irish capital, while placing a special emphasis on Celtic-language film.
This year, a taste of the cultures of Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Canada and Cornwall can all be found through the films screened as part of Blas. Regardless of the language(s) spoken, English subtitles are provided with all films. For more information, e-mail blas@cityarts.ie or call +353 1 902 2417.
